What is a Stroke?

Stroke is a condition where blood flow to the brain is cut off, leading to severe cell damage and sometimes cell death. This is usually caused by some sort of hindrance in the arteries carrying blood (and oxygen and nutrients) to the brain. It could be a blood clot that causes the flow to stop - this leads to Ischemic Stroke. it could also be a rupture in the artery walls, leading to hemorrhage in the brain - this is identified as Hemorrhagic Stroke.
